Blowing me tonight may not be exactly a brand new phone to the market but it is a new phone coming to the United States Market the first time ever wall ways to be entering the flagship market and this is their mate 9 their Flagship device once you're below the main 9 Pro but still packs quite a big punch in the flagship Marketplace what's going to be one it's Mercury hear from phonedog.com and this is my review of the Huawei mate 9 so when he first take a look at the Huawei mate 9 it really strikes you as a super premium phone the front is beautifully feel the 5.9 inch 1080p display it is literally edge-to-edge and has just throw curves on the edges which just makes rolling up your thumb very very nice the back is all built of aluminum construction it's all your body and it just screams a lot of quality this play itself is super bright and very accurate even bright enough to be viewed outdoors in the middle of daylight it looks amazing and rightness it really can blow your socks off just be the first to say but it's really nice to see a flagship smartphone with a 1080p display tell if the 1 + 3 + 1 + 3 cheats because honestly Quan HD isn't exactly necessary on a phone once it has over 300 pixels per inch you always see the sole purpose of the main tonight isn't to look pretty it's also to pack a series punch at quite a good price point inside mate 9 is a lot of power were talking about the Cure 960 octa-core processor 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of built-in Brown Put expandable memory card slot using MicroSD of - 256 of additional gigabytes of storage you as a package do you alway Maine tonight is really hard to be Tammy for the price at 599 here in the US it's literally be Flagship smartphone for a couple hundred dollars off compared to your typical smart feel like the S7 and S7 Edge no Hardware on the phone is pretty simple on the bottom is a USB type-c port thank you for adding that on the top is a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack on the left side is your SIM tray and your microSD card slot on the right side you have your volume rocker and your power switch it over to the back you'll see your fingerprint sensor right below your dual camera setup and you might see like a written on here it's because he Huawei mate 9 was developed in conjunction with like of a humongous premium makers of amazing lenses and cameras in Germany and they have fit a two cameras on here a 20-megapixel monochrome camera and a 12 megapixel RGB camera or red green and blue this combined will give you but ever so popular death affected everyone's been chasing over the past couple years and we'll talk about that in just a little bit later but it's definitely nice to see it on a phone at this price category software-wise will be pleasantly surprised to find the Android 700 do you get is running on board here with me if you want or emotion UI 5.0 that is always custom skin is probably one of the most heaviest a skins in the Android game at the moment but you can also run the Google Now launcher and make this feel like a stock Android device overall FAMU I5 it doesn't feel too bad it is really heavily skinned and it does look a little funky compared to just stock Android but I really do like the way it looks at it kind of has a very interesting appeal to it they're they're definitely look more squares similar to iPhone OS 4 iOS doesn't always look like at every single points but it works really well it's not bad down doesn't feel like older versions of Touchwiz like on the Note devices and the Galaxy devices and overall it's really does run very well and I haven't really missed a beat running emui 5 on top of nougat never gets hurt about power or being bad down but I will tell you this this device has enough power on tap to really power through anything I have not even hit any bog down situations where this phone has a stumbled or Fallen flat it really hasn't missed a beat and that's just a testament to the amount of power an engineer camera system in the are like a lens is the image quality is pretty good it's not quite as good as safe an iPhone 7:07 Plus or an S7 or S7 plus Edge it it is pretty good in overall the market space I think it's better than things like the Moto G and the HTC 10 and a couple other devices know what it does have a tendency to Overexposed especially if you use white aperture Miller to keep the phone and standard mode a just take photos it does a very good job details very good Focus pretty good it has a rating an F 2.2 on the lenses so it does a fairly decent job of taking good images save on the video signed by the 4K UHD quality again not quite as good as an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus or an S7 or S7 Edge but it's still pretty respectable in the marketplace it's just not Stellar when are you getting the death M-89 you're getting some more artificial of Boca creation and it's not exactly as seamless as an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 7 + is supposed to be iPhone 7 plus kind of the king of the death affect because it has a two line system that uses a monochrome sensor in an RGB sensor to kind of figure out that information it's not quite as seamless but it definitely does its job I just wouldn't recommend it as the top smartphone in this Department's there's one more big feature with the Huawei mate 9 that affects exclusively to the US devices and that is Amazon Alexa the wall we may not be the first device to bring Amazon Alexa services to a cell phone to an Android device anyway and I can be available through a software update I have been able to mess with it they didn't have your running done with us yes and it's not active on this unit but it's tough we going to be a very interesting feature I can't comment but he'll work I think Alexis a fairly tied down and very restricted service other like Google assistant or a couple other of the assistant services and be around other stuff we can be very interesting mean if your Amazon Shopper you can ask your phone to go buy more groceries or buy more products or whatever you want to do and that definitely could have its upsides to it I just don't think it's exactly the best choice for an assistant on an Android smartphone stuff we can be worth exploring once it comes available to you while we may not another will be doing the video talking about Amazon Alexa on an Android platform but until then let me just wrap up this Huawei mate 9 review told her all the Huawei mate 9 is definitely an interesting-looking device I think it's a little over priced at $600 u.s. I figured it was $100 left it would be a steal at that price but obviously this is a very premium handset and it still is about $150 less than your entry level iPhone 7 or S7 I think it's a fantastic device I have a lot of power on tap and has Android 70 nougat so you're not really laughing anything and be stuff Department other than any of you watch what you could always run of skin and change that later on I think is a whole package it's very good very premium can struction very fast for your print scanner one of the best in the industry at again I think it's just a Fantastic 4 handset through and through and I think you wouldn't really be disappointed if you pick this guy up compared to an S7 or S7 Edge or any of the Android flagships.
